Hi, I’m Joel, I’m going to teach you about the word, “abs.”

Abs is slang or short for your abdominal muscles or your stomach muscles.

This word abs is used in an informal setting, typically when we’re talking about exercising

or when we’re talking about somebody’s body.

I’ll give you some example sentences now so you can see it in context:
“I work out my chest on Mondays and my abs on Tuesdays.”

“He exercises a lot. That’s why he has great abs.”

“If you want to have good posture, it’s important to have strong abs.”

“My abs hurt. I think I exercised too much yesterday.”
