“Above Board” is a phrase that you would commonly here in a business setting.

When somebody uses this phrase it means something that is honest and trustworthy.

For example, business dealings could be considered above board, honest and trustworthy.

A phrase could also be used to describe someone that is in a political office.

For example:
“I believe that the new governor’s business dealings are all above board.”

So, remember “Above Board” has to do with something being honest and trustworthy.
